Effective immediately: The guidelines and procedures below should be used when there is a hearing need or concern regarding any student
- All students, preschool through 2nd grade will be routinely screened annually by a Mississippi Bend AEA audiometrists. Follow up rechecks will also be completed by our audiometrist and audiologists. If you have a hearing need or concern with this age level, you should contact the audiometrist assigned to your building to get hearing results. If your building has not been screened yet, you can complete the new hearing screening form (found with your school nurse or under "Forms" above) and send it to your assigned audiometrist. The audiometrist will then go out and complete the screening. Remember the hearing screening form requires a parent signature.
- If you need hearing results regarding a student from 3rd grade through 12th grade, please complete the hearing screening form found with your school nurse or under "Forms" above) and send it to your assigned audiometrist. The audiometrist will in turn go out to the building and send you the results, once the screening has been conducted.
