Early Years are Learning Years: Celebrate National Week of the Young Child
Established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the Week of the Young Child (April 11-17, 2010) brings to attention the needs of young children and their families, while highlighting the early childhood education programs and services available to meet those needs.
Every day the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency (AEA) supports early childhood education by offering quality services to infants, young children, their families and community providers to help all children reach their potential. As part of the Week of the Young Child, the Mississippi Bend AEA Parents as Teachers Program would like to invite you to attend Birth Order, What’s all the Fuss About?. This event will be held on Thursday, April 15th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Learning Center at the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency (729 21st Street, Bettendorf).
Come join us in a discussion of birth order and its influences in the lives of your children and those around you. For questions about this event, or to pre-register, call Melissa Zeimet at 344-6412, by Wednesday, April 14th
The Week of the Young Child is a time to recognize that children's opportunities are our responsibilities. For information about Mississippi Bend AEA early childhood services call 563-344-6265 or visit us online at www.aea9.k12.ia.us.
