The purpose of the environmental services program of the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency is to assist schools in creating a safe and healthy environment for students, staff and community through leadership, technical expertise and training services.
Assist schools in compliance with state and federal asbestos regulations. Services include asbestos inspections/reinspections for district facilities, preparation/updating of management plans, collection of bulk asbestos samples, training and consulting.
Assist schools in compliance with state regulations. Services include facility inspections and written reports, training and in-services, assistance with written programs and implementation.
Bus Driver Training
Services/advantages include quarterly transportation manager meetings, on-site and customized training and financial savings. Assist schools in meeting Departments of Education training mandates by offering the New Driver STOP Program and the Annual In-service.
