Being independent requires an individual to not only have monetary resources, but to use those resources to the best advantage. Following are a few tips and the names of some organizations that may be of help to you in budgeting and money management during and after transition to adult life.
- Use the yellow pages in your local phone book under Credit and Debt Counseling or Financial. You might find some ideas there.
- Open an account at your local bank - Checking, Savings or both
